HANNAH DARU

Thanks for stopping by.

I am a researcher, ethicist, and artist by training, and a planner, learner, and cat lover by nature. My interests are eclectic, but I'm convinced it all fits together through my passion for people and flair for creativity—bridges, if you will.

As an undergraduate, I triple-majored in (1) Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing; (2) Philosophy; and (3) Visual Arts with emphases in drawing and painting. Then, presented with an unparalleled offer to get paid to keep going to school, I undertook graduate work in philosophy in New York City, where I completed a PhD in Philosophy, an Advanced Certificate in Health Care Ethics, and a certification in pedagogy (particularly focused on adult learning in the 21st century). Following graduate school, I pivoted out of academia and did research and strategy consulting at a large SaaS company.

I love making unexpected but fruitful connections--between ideas and among people. At UKG, I had the pleasure of conducting customer experience research, then advising stakeholders through workshops, regular publications, and ongoing consultative partnerships. As a result of the research and guidance, teams could have more successful implementations, saving nearly $1,000 per customer just in their first 90 days live and boosting overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.

In my next role, I hope to continue harnessing the power of research to make a positive difference in peoples' experiences--even better if I can lean into my background in facilitating workshops and building learning experiences.

I took the background photo while on a cruise of NYC's East River. (The Latinists of the Fordham community were reading the text of one of the area's early explorers in the original Latin [Johannes De Laet's Americae Utriusque Descriptio] and appreciating the drastic change in landscape while on this special Navigatio Neo-Eboracensis! )
